It was a Sunday morning 11:00 a.m.
when Angel opened her eyes with slightly curved lips. Her best friend Lucy (Golden
retriever) had already started licking her face jumping around with joy and
pulling her cozy blanket.
She cuddled and kissed her back and went to get fresh, all the while that
beautiful smile never left her face.
Sunday was her favorite day. She
would woke up at any time she wished as she was in deep love with her sleep and
in the evening she would go for a walk with Lucy and would become part of
nature.
Unlike the girls of her age, she was
not interested in shopping for hours or getting dressed and following the latest
trends. She was naturally beautiful with her long hair, beautiful face and those
big eyes curious to explore the world.
Angel’s world was small but a
wonderful one. She would love to read and write. Her life was perfect in its
imperfection.
Aditya was an intelligent boy with
an amazing voice. A kind boy who always was calm. His soothing voice would put
off the stress, anger and any odd feeling that the listener had. He had a big
family all of whom loved him.
He would go to the bank of river
every weekend to be close to the nature and would listen to chirping of birds
imagining of what they are trying to say.
On that Sunday, Angel was enjoying
the sight of the flowing river with Lucy by her side dancing all the time.
She saw the beauty of nature and
felt so lucky to witness it. While she was engrossed in watching the flowing
river, she heard a male voice. She was surprised to know someone's presence at
this time.
He said "may I know your
name..?"
Angel dint know how to respond but
seeing the calmness in his eyes she felt comfortable in some time and then they
introduced briefly about themselves.
Soon Angel and Aditya became good
friends. They used to meet every Sunday and talk their heart’s out on what all
happened in the past week with them.
Their whole week would pass by in
each others thoughts. The way they felt about each other was totally
different. Anything and everything they did would remind something about each
other. They used to wait for Sunday to arrive the next moment they had parted
each time.
One day Aditya had a family
gathering at his place and hence could not come. He had informed about this to
her the previous Sunday.
Angel’s whole week went with least
interest. On Sunday she did not go out. She decided to cook something special
for Lucy and herself. She could not get her mind listen to her. For the first
time in her life her heart was giving instructions to her brain which surprised
her. All she could do was to think about him. She had recorded his voice which
became lullaby to her every night. She decided to play them now. The moment she
heard his voice all her senses gave away. She stood there engrossed in his
voice and smiling happily.
Adityas house was filled with
guests who had gathered to celebrate the job he had got in a far city. His mind
was not on any celebration or any praises that were pouring. His mind was on
Angel .Her giggles, her eyes, her lips and her talks.
He could not imagine his life
without Angel’s presence. She was a real angel in his life. He never wanted
anything which separated them. But he was not sure if she had same feelings on
him. He decided to confess his love for her.
Both of them were eagerly waiting
for Sunday like never before. Time ticks slow and the journey seem longer when
we are waiting for something and rush when we are enjoying it.
Finally the wait was over and the
most awaited weekend arrived. Both sat on the river bank, there was no sound
other than the flowing river and Lucy’s heavy breathing.
He gathered all his confidence and
held her hand. He then broke the news of moving to the far city. He did not see
her expression.
Angel could not believe what she had
just heard and she dint wanted to react. She could not stop him from achieving
what he dreamt of. Tears do not listen to us. They made their way and landed on
his hands. Usually he would have felt bad but now he felt a gush of happiness.
She was in love with him too. She dint wanted him to go. Love is such a strange
feeling.
He had got his answer to all
questions and doubts stood resolved. He need not tell her how much he loved
her. He put his hands around her and she leaned on his chest. Though words are
used to express love, Angel and Aditya did not need those words as they were in
true love with each other. The happiness they experienced was beyond words.
They needed nothing except each other.
their both whole family witnessed their wedding on the banks of the river. He
decided to stay back. Nothing mattered more than his angel. Their joy knew no
bounds. Their house "Angel's Nest" was always filled with giggles,
melody and joyous barking of Lucy. She no longer played the recorded lullaby as
he would talk her to sleep everyday while she slept on his chest listening to
his heartbeat.
